Considering the fact that the finding through 1947 to 1956 of
nearly nine hundred scrolls in various conditions, largely composed
on parchment, along with others on papyrus, extensive excavations
of the settlement are already undertaken. Cisterns, Jewish ritual
baths, and cemeteries are already discovered, along with a dining
or meeting place and vestiges coming from an higher story alleged
by some to have been a scriptorium as well as pottery kilns along
with a tower.
